Let’s begin our journey by talking about the first addition, the star of the show – a beautifully brocéd rideau. The rideau is a traditional French fabric panel used to cover windows. However, I chose a more unique and personal touch for mine. With intricate patterns of gold brocade decorating its surface, it adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the room, transforming it into a little piece of Parisian charm.

The next addition to my Chic Home Corner is a pair of Asian-style ribbon-banded legs, which I’ve placed at the base of the rideau. These legs not only serve as a functional support system for the rideau but also add an exotic and visually appealing element to the decor. The ribbons, adorned with delicate Asian motifs, give a hint of the East, making it a perfect fusion of Western and Eastern influences.

As I move on to the next element, I’d like to introduce you to the French linen that I’ve used to line the insides of the rideau. This natural and breathable fabric brings a sense of calm to the space, and its pristine white color harmonizes perfectly with the cloud-moon motif.

Speaking of which, let me describe the beautiful cloud-moon motif that adorns the tip of my rideau’s tassel. The height of my Chic Home Corner’s new addition measures 114cm, which is approximately 44.88 inches, making it a substantial and eye-catching feature. The width, on the other hand, is a generous 70cm or 27 inches, allowing it to cover a decent area of my window while still allowing enough light to filter through.
